1,000 Attend Stelle della Lirica at Parco Giardino Sigurtà for 16th Edition

Around 1,000 spectators attended the 16th edition of *Stelle della Lirica* on Monday, August 17, at Parco Giardino Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio. The concert featured soprano Francesca Dotto and tenor Marco Berti, performing 11 famous pages of Italian opera with the Orchestra dei Colli Morenici and the Coro Lirico San Filippo Neri.

The program included solo, duet and choral selections from works by Bellini, Verdi and Puccini. Among the most acclaimed pieces was “Casta Diva” from *Norma*, while the choir—over 40 members under conductor Iris Composta—performed “Coro a bocca chiusa” from *Madama Butterfly*. Also on the bill were Verdi’s “Va’, pensiero” from *Nabucco*, performances by Dotto and Berti, and a closing tribute to international repertoire with Bizet’s *Carmen*.

The event was organized by the Associazione Arti e Mestieri Valeggio with the patronage of the Comune di Valeggio sul Mincio, in collaboration with the local administration and Pro Loco. The orchestra was conducted by Roberto Gianola, and the evening was hosted by Giuseppe and Magda Sigurtà alongside Fabio Ciprian and Mayor Alessandro Gardoni. The setting was enhanced by the park’s summer blooms and 162 Cracking Nature installations, while the Parco Giardino Sigurtà calendar continues with a cosplay event (September 4–6), “Viaggio nel Tempo” (September 20), Children’s Day (October 4), and a later event focused on flight.
