Maria Carmela Iacono has been appointed the new president of the Lions Club Sirmione, marking the third consecutive time a woman has held this position. The inauguration ceremony recently took place in the presence of several local authorities, including Mayor Luisa Lavelli and Deputy Mayor Maurizio Ferrari. Iacono, a highly regarded professional engineer with a strong social commitment, expressed her gratitude to the members for their trust and praised the work of her predecessor, Lorena Fontana.
In her vision for the club, Maria Carmela Iacono outlined an ambitious program that includes the continuation of longstanding service projects such as the Martina project for the prevention of youth cancer, as well as new initiatives like “Let’s Connect.” The new president is committed to actively collaborating with other clubs in the area and planning the board’s activities to share common goals.
