Alessio Zanotti triumphs at the Città di Salò competitive tennis tournament
Alessio Zanotti has triumphed in the Città di Salò Tournament – Trofeo Argoclima, winning the ninth edition of this prestigious competitive tennis event. The final, held on Sunday, July 20, saw the young player from Brescia face Matteo Dal Zotto, finishing with a score of 7-6 (7-5), 6-0. The match featured a balanced first set, but in the second, Zanotti dominated without conceding any games to his opponent. “I played a great match and had a lot of fun,” Zanotti stated, highlighting the importance of the organization and the audience present.
The tournament took place from July 5 to 20, attracting 113 participants in the men’s Open category. Nicola Benedetti, president of the Canottieri Garda Salò, expressed satisfaction with the high technical level displayed by the players and the fair play exhibited during the matches. With a prize pool of 2,500 euros, the event represented a highlight for the local youth tennis scene, which boasts over a hundred participants among boys and girls.
