Recently, an innovative app was launched in Bardolino, aimed at promoting sustainable tourism and monitoring the environmental impact of local accommodations. The project, named “Punto Zero,” is the result of collaboration between Federalberghi Garda Veneto and Garda Green Club and was unveiled at the Palace Hotel San Pietro. The app will enable hotels to measure crucial parameters such as CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and waste management, thus facilitating a more responsible approach to tourism.
During the presentation, the Director of Federalberghi Garda Veneto emphasized the importance of sustainability in the tourism sector, highlighting how operators can benefit from this initiative to improve their ecological practices. With a minimal commitment of just eight minutes a day to use the app, establishments will be able to collect essential data and plan interventions aimed at reducing their environmental impact. This project represents a significant step towards more conscious and environmentally friendly tourism management.
