The Renewable Energy Community of Desenzano del Garda has been officially launched, an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable energy through collaboration among citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises, and local authorities. This community provides participants with the opportunity to produce, self-consume, and share renewable energy generated by associated plants, utilizing the national distribution network for a virtual sharing of energy. Incentives for community members include discounted rates on self-consumed energy.
To present the project to the public, three informational meetings have been scheduled: the first will take place on Thursday, July 24, at 9:00 PM at L’Insolito Bar in San Martino d/B, the second on Tuesday, July 29, at 9:00 PM at Villa Brunati in Rivoltella, and finally on Friday, August 1, at 9:00 PM at Palazzo Todeschini in the center of Desenzano. During these events, representatives from the Municipal Administration and the Operational Director of Garda Uno, Massimiliano Faini, will be present to answer participants’ questions regarding the opportunities offered by the new energy community.
