In Riva del Garda, all eyes are on the Fraglia Vela Riva, which is hosting the inaugural edition of the Swan Lake Garda Challenge from today until Saturday. This event marks the third stop of the Nations League organized by ClubSwan Racing, an international circuit dedicated to the one-design hulls produced by Nautor Swan. For the first time, the ClubSwan 28, the latest one-design from the Finnish company, will race in inland waters, promising an exciting and competitive event. The event is organized thanks to the collaboration between the local team, led by Fausto Maroni, and PRO Bill O’Hara.
Eight boats from seven nations will participate in this stage, with over forty sailors on board. The current overall standings of the Nations League see Marcello (FRA) in the lead, followed by Play Bigger (USA) and Swing (JPN). Among the participating vessels will be Anya (ITA), Black Swan (MON), Hatari (GER), and Isabella (GER). Additionally, Fra Martina, helmed by Edoardo Pavesio, will make its debut in the ClubSwan 28 fleet. Federico Michetti from Nautor Swan emphasized the importance of bringing high-level events to the lakes, while Andrea Camin, president of Fraglia Vela Riva, expressed pride in this prestigious debut despite the uncertain weather conditions.
