A significant humanitarian initiative is set to take place in Riva del Garda, where all the municipalities of Alto Garda and Ledro have joined the national appeal “Gaza is Dying of Hunger: Let’s Break the Silence.” Promoted by intellectuals such as Tomaso Montanari and Paola Caridi, the initiative aims to raise public awareness about the severe humanitarian crisis affecting the Gaza Strip. The event will be held on Sunday, July 27 at 9:45 PM in Piazza Cavour, and will then move to Piazza Tre Novembre, where the voices of the community will come together through sounds and the ringing of bells, to break the silence surrounding a tragedy that continues to cause unspeakable suffering.
During the demonstration, participants will be encouraged to express their solidarity individually, using any form of noise or light to make their presence felt. The call to action is clear: it is essential to demand an immediate ceasefire and ensure the entry of humanitarian aid into the area. The local community aims to unite its efforts to raise its voice against global indifference and support those who are enduring a desperate situation.
