Last night, a tragic road accident occurred in the district of Calvagese della Riviera, where a 42-year-old woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking along the SP78. The incident took place around 1:30 AM, when the victim, born in 1983, was knocked down and thrown into a ditch at the side of the road. Despite the immediate intervention of passing motorists who noticed the lifeless body and alerted authorities, there was nothing that could be done for the woman.
Authorities are currently engaged in investigations to identify the driver who fled the scene without offering assistance. Police officers from the Salò Traffic Police, along with firefighters and medical responders, arrived at the scene and initiated the necessary searches to locate the individual responsible for this grave incident.
