An incident occurred in Salò on Wednesday morning, just before 10 AM, when a 34-year-old man was attacked by a dog, presumably a pitbull, while walking along via Garibaldi. The animal, although on a leash, was not wearing a muzzle and bit the victim in the genital area. The injured man, originally from Nigeria, was immediately transported to the Poliambulanza hospital in Brescia for necessary treatment.
The dog’s owner later released a video message on social media to provide his account of the events. He stated that he did not flee the scene and always carries a muzzle with him, explaining that the incident occurred while he was picking up his dog’s waste and that two men had approached too closely. The carabinieri are currently conducting investigations to clarify the dynamics of the incident and determine responsibilities.
