Salò hosts the photography exhibition Palestine by Roberta Micagli
The Fermi High School of Salò inaugurated two significant photography exhibitions on Monday, September 22: “Dear Palestine” by Roberta Micagli and “Bussola” by Dana Hilmy. These exhibitions, which will be open until October 11, are part of a broader project aimed at raising awareness among students and the public about issues related to the conflict in Palestine. During the opening, the school principal Marco Tarolli and the mayor Francesco Cagnini emphasized the importance of Palestinian culture, highlighting how the exhibitions not only document the atrocities of the conflict but also celebrate the traditions and customs of the Palestinian people. Alongside the exhibitions, public events will take place in the auditorium on September 30 and October 8, including a talk by Egidia Beretta, mother of journalist Vittorio Arrigoni. Students from classes 5ACL and 5F will present insights on Palestinian artists throughout the duration of the exhibition. The project will culminate with a solidarity lunch on October 12 at the Antica Cascina San Zago, offering a taste of traditional Palestinian cuisine. Photographer Roberta Micagli shared her personal experience in Palestine, describing the warmth she received from the local community, thus creating a space for deep reflection among the attending students.
