New advanced rescue model in Alto Garda

Starting from November 1st, Alto Garda and Ledro have implemented a new advanced rescue model, which includes the constant presence of two basic ambulances and an advanced rescue vehicle staffed by a nurse from Trentino Emergenza. This innovation features the use of a medical transport vehicle, allowing for a rapid response to critical events without the need to transport patients, while providing advanced nursing assistance directly at the scene. The nurses are trained to perform complex clinical maneuvers and collaborate in real-time with doctors at the operations center, ensuring effective emergency management. In 2024, the area recorded over 5,400 emergency medical interventions, reflecting a 24% increase compared to 2019. During the summer months, demand is particularly high due to the influx of tourists and sporting events. To address this situation, the service is set to be enhanced with the introduction of a second advanced rescue vehicle during the summer season. This integrated system not only optimizes available resources but also improves response times and the quality of pre-hospital care for all users in the area. Italian Version
