Renovation of the Grand Hotel Gardone: a luxury investment in Gardone Riviera
The Grand Hotel Gardone in Gardone Riviera has embarked on an ambitious renovation project valued between 55 and 60 million euros, which will transform the current four-star establishment into a five-star luxury hotel under the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand, the first of its kind for this chain in Italy. The new ownership, comprising the Lithuanian group Apex Alliance and the Romanian group Pavăl Holding, has begun preparations on-site by clearing the interiors of the historic building that was inaugurated in the late 19th century. The removed furnishings have been donated to a local hospitality school and the Red Cross. Renovation work is set to begin following the preparatory phase, with completion expected by mid-2027. During this period, the village of Gardone Sotto will have to coexist with the construction sites, but the interventions will primarily be internal to minimize the impact on traffic. Upon completion, the Grand Hotel Gardone will feature 160 rooms, two restaurants, a bar, a wellness center, and event facilities, significantly contributing to local tourism and creating at least 80 jobs. This restoration marks a true renaissance for one of the most iconic hotels on the Gardone Riviera. Italian Version
