Christmas 2025 in Desenzano del Garda: Tourism Opportunities
As Christmas 2025 approaches, Desenzano del Garda is gearing up for a festive season filled with events and attractions, with significant expectations for holiday tourism. Federalberghi estimates that around 18.3 million Italians will travel during the holidays, generating a total revenue of 14.7 billion euros. Alessandro Fantini, president of Federalberghi Brescia, noted that provincial data aligns with last year’s figures, emphasizing that the mountains remain the preferred destination for travelers.
For the Lake Garda and Lake Iseo regions, Fantini indicated that approximately 20% of accommodations will be operational during the Christmas period, with occupancy rates expected to rise to 50% for New Year’s. Despite the growing interest in these areas, he urged continued efforts to enhance Desenzano’s status as a key tourist destination during the holidays, highlighting the city’s current appeal while acknowledging potential for further improvement in occupancy rates.
