Extra Clean-Up in Bardolino: Algae Removal Begins at the Port Area

The municipality of Bardolino has initiated a significant maintenance operation aimed at enhancing the coastal area’s appearance. This project includes the removal of algae from the local port, a necessary step to ensure the cleanliness of Lake Garda’s waters and the full usability of nautical facilities. A specialized company is carrying out the work using advanced amphibious equipment designed to cut and collect excess aquatic vegetation efficiently.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve the town’s image for both residents and visitors. Mayor Daniele Bertasi emphasized the importance of these maintenance activities, stating that the removal of algae restores dignity and beauty to the port, which serves as a key attraction for Bardolino. Furthermore, the current cleaning represents the first phase of a planned series of interventions, which will include dredging operations expected to commence soon, particularly focusing on the southern side of the port to optimize functional and environmental conditions.
