New Signage Enhances Mountain Biking and Cycling Trails in Garda Dolomites

By December 31, 2030, tourism companies in Trentino will replace existing mountain bike trail signage with a new design aimed at enhancing the experience for cyclists. Regional assessor Failoni emphasized the initiative’s significance for promoting the area and attracting outdoor enthusiasts to its natural landscapes. The new signage will be developed in collaboration with various stakeholders and will adhere to the International Trail Rating System (ITRS) to meet the specific needs of biking enthusiasts.

The trial phase for the new signage began in 2022, with positive feedback from local authorities in areas like Monte Brione and Val di Ledro. The Trentino ApT Consortium hopes this new signage will become a provincial standard ahead of the World Cycling Championship scheduled for 2031. Once finalized, the updated signage will be implemented across the provincial network of mountain bike trails by the deadline.
