Civil Protection Units in Lonato and Bedizzole Receive New Emergency Truck

The intermunicipal civil protection group serving Lonato del Garda and Bedizzole has acquired a new operational truck to improve emergency and logistical response, officially presented at the group’s headquarters on 23 December. The vehicle features a seven-seat cab and an onboard crane to lift and transport heavy or bulky materials, supporting volunteers during interventions and facilitating movement of equipment such as the pneumatic tent purchased in 2023.

The purchase cost €23,975 plus VAT and was co-financed by the two municipalities, with Lonato del Garda acting as the lead administrative authority; ownership and responsibilities will be shared between Lonato and Bedizzole. Local officials at the presentation included Lonato mayor Roberto Tardani, Bedizzole mayor Giovanni Cottini, vice mayor Monica Zilioli, council president Giuseppe Borgese, finance assessor Massimo Castellini and councillors Muriel Cassini and Roberto Vanaria.
