Lonato and Bedizzole Civil Protection Receive New Emergency Truck

The intermunicipal Civil Protection Group serving Lonato del Garda and Bedizzole has acquired a new operational truck to improve emergency response and the transport of bulky and heavy materials.

The vehicle, presented at the group’s headquarters on 23 December, has a seven‑seat cab and an onboard crane to lift and move heavy loads, facilitating transport of equipment such as the inflatable tent bought in 2023. The purchase cost €23,975 plus VAT and was co‑financed by the two municipalities, with Lonato del Garda acting as lead administrative authority; the truck is to be used exclusively for logistical support of volunteer civil protection services. Present at the handover were Lonato mayor Roberto Tardani, Bedizzole mayor Giovanni Cottini and Lonato officials including deputy mayor Monica Zilioli, budget councillor Massimo Castellini, council president Giuseppe Borgese and councillors Muriel Cassini and Roberto Vanaria.
