Cantalago Music Festival: Hosts, Munich Debut, and International Expansion

Cantalago focuses on feminine charm. The Festival della canzone del Garda is shifting its approach and after the charismatic leadership of Franco Oppini in 1999 (paired in the final in Desenzano with Simona Ventura), it now relies on the beauty of three well-known television personalities.

The festival’s organizer, Enrico Bianchini, has announced the trio of hosts who will alternate during the scheduled evenings across the main squares of the Brescia, Trento, and Verona municipalities that will host the musical event (dedicated to “covers” of famous songs performed by amateur singers seeking success).

The Presenters

They are Samantha De Grenet, Emanuela Foliero, and Federica Moro. Three personalities well-known and loved by the general television audience. The Roman Samantha De Grenet is one of the young hosts on Italia 1; she currently presents the music program “Express” every afternoon.

She will also be remembered for the winter broadcast “Candid Angels,” “I misteri di Cascina Vianello,” and as a host of “Jammin.” Neither Emanuela Foliero, the charming presenter of Rete Quattro, nor Federica Moro, former Miss Italy and actress in films with Adriano Celentano and popular TV mini-series, require introductions.

A trio of beauties with all the credentials to contribute to the success of the Music Festival, which in its past four editions has consistently experienced growing audience appreciation.

The organizers of Cantalago, an event supported by the Tourism Departments of the three Garda provinces, the Garda Community, and the Apt of the Riviera degli Ulivi, have gone all out.

Debut in Munich

It is worth noting that this year, the Cantalago will make its exceptional debut in Munich, at the splendid Prinzregenten Theater, on June 4th. The idea is to bring a Garda-based event to Germany, offering the German audience, a loyal tourist clientele of these shores, a “taste” of what they will find next summer in the lake municipalities hosting the evenings of the musical festivity.

For the German night, Bianchini and Artistic Director Andrea Vantini announced the presence of a major Italian singer well admired across the Alps, Umberto Tozzi. The show will be hosted by Rai television presenter Peppi Franzelin.

The traveling event will then brighten the Garda evenings of July and August, the peak period of the holiday season.
