Garda Song Festival 2023: Locations, Artists, and Charity Initiatives

Montichiari, Sirmione, Toscolano, Bedizzole, and Limone: these will be the locations involved in the Cantalago 2000 edition. The Garda Song Festival, as this event has been called, which has rapidly gained appreciation not only along the shores of Garda, is now approaching its 5th edition this year.

The presentation and the stages of the festival

The traveling event, presented yesterday morning at the Centro Congressi di Cavaion, featuring all four presenters, Emanuela Folliero, Adriana Volpe, Federica Moro, and Samantha De Grenet, will visit fifteen towns around Lake Garda, including two major stops in Munich (Sunday, June 4) and at the Roman Theatre of Verona (Monday, June 26).

“Two gala evenings to promote Italy’s largest lake and celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the twin-town agreement between the ‘capital’ of Bavaria and the city of Juliet.”

The show features and participating artists

The core of the event remains the competition between singers in the interpretative and original sections, the latter closely coordinated with the CET, the music academy of Toscolano (Umbria) founded by Maestro Mogol, who was the jury president last year at the final in Desenzano, hosted by Simona Ventura and Franco Oppini.

On stage, also Elisa Antonelli and Sabrina Barbi, both former featured artists at Cantalago and now mainstays of the event, which will kick off on Saturday, July 1 in Bussolengo and conclude in Limone on September 2.

The final and the solidarity concert

The final will be hosted by Samantha De Grenet, featuring special guests Mal and Cecilia Gayle. The Cantalago will also include a charity initiative with the sale of a CD containing the best musical productions of the Festival.

The proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Homerus association, which aims to purchase satellite electronic devices to help blind people worldwide navigate independently. l. d. p.
