Mario Arduino Discusses Lombard History at Gardone Event
Kunimondo, the Lombard of the lake: this is the theme of the fourth appointment in the cultural conversations of the «Aperitivi gardonesi». The talk will be given by Mario Arduino, mayor of Sirmione for nearly a decade and a prominent expert on the past and present realities of Lake Garda.
The event, as is customary for this successful initiative conceived and promoted by the Gardonese Department of Culture and Tourism, will take place at 6 PM today, Saturday, in the historic setting of the Grand Hotel Gardone gardens. Professor Arduino’s presentation previews and, in a way, introduces the major exhibition «The Future of the Lombards», which will open on June 17 in S. Giulia, Brescia.
The closing of the series
The curtain will fall on the «Aperitivi gardonesi» Saturday, June 3, with a talk by Professor Dirk Heisserer, a literature lecturer at the University of Munich.
