Brescia Food and Wine Exhibition Highlights Local Cuisine and Competition

Promotion of local cuisine within the aims of the Food and Wine Exhibition, organized by the Club del Buongustaio di Brescia in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, the Province, the Municipality of Brescia, Arthob, Association of Chefs, and Ente Vini Bresciani. An initiative that involves 19 restaurants, engaged in creating dishes using raw materials produced in our province.

The judging delegation, led by the president of the Club del Buongustaio, chef Enzo Dellea, also visited Soiano at the premises of Il Grillo Parlante restaurant owned by Alessandro Polver.

Stages of the competition and participating restaurants

The other stopovers in the contest include Agli Angeli in Gardone Riviera, at the Parco di Molinetto in Mazzano, Boschetti in Montichiari, Ca’ Nöa in Brescia, Carlo Magno in Brescia, Eden in Brescia, Esenta in Lonato, Il Cacciatore in Sopraponte di Gavardo, Niga in Azzano Mella, Scaiola in Nuvolera, Il Monastero in Soiano, Moro Bianco in Manerba, Pio Nono in Erbusco, Portichetto in Bione, Romanino in Cellatica, Rustichello in Gianico, Sirena in Salò, and Stacca in Gussago.

The competition and prizes

The dishes in the competition are divided into a first course and a second course, which the strict regulations of the contest require to be organized according to what the Brescia land offers to the culinary skill of the chefs.

Three gold medals are awarded to the winners: to the 1st place for the first dish, the top performer in the second, and the restaurant that best pairs wine with the menu.
