Padenghe’s Sunday Events: Art, Cats, Sports & Orchid Exhibition

It will be an interesting and emotionally charged day for those stopping in the historic center of Padenghe next Sunday.

Punctually, as every first Sunday of the month, in Piazza Gabriele D’Annunzio and along the streets of the historic center, which will be pedestrianized for the occasion and as is customary every weekend, the «Artisti in piazza» event will take place, featuring exhibits of various art forms, particularly paintings, artworks, and crafts.

In the same square, also on Sunday, there will be a display of marvelous cats of all breeds and qualities, ready to perform at the inaugural «Festa felina». An event organized by the Amministrazione comunale in collaboration with local merchants and the Pro Loco association.

Market exhibition and related activities

A market exhibition open to everyone who wishes to participate with their animals, and on this occasion, a veterinarian will be available for free check-ups.

Naturally, the best subjects will receive a special mention as a keepsake of the event.

But that’s not all: a short distance away, at the campo sportivo del nuovo centro sportivo comunale (sports field of the new municipal sports center), the grand «festa della Polisportiva» will be held starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday, June 4th, with a Mass celebrated by don Bruno, the parish priest of Padenghe.

At 10:30 a.m., various game activities will commence, and at 12:30 p.m., prize-giving ceremonies will take place.

At 12:30 p.m., a giant spaghetti meal will be offered to all attendees.

As confirmed by Gianni Libardo, president of the Polisportiva Vighenzi, which celebrates its 54th year this year—everyone is invited, including the parents of the children involved in various sports disciplines, and of course all supporters.

Matches and exhibitions

In the evening, several football matches will be played as part of the youth tournament «Saremo famosi», which is currently ongoing and involves 36 teams from across the province of Brescia.

Finally, inside the Alessandrini greenhouses, located in «Monte», visitors can admire over 10,000 species of orchids from today until Sunday, June 4th, presented by expert and passionate horticulturists, and sample the exceptional wines Doc produced by Emilio Zuliani.
