Valtenesi Region Hosts 2nd International Youth Football Tournament

Over a thousand people will actively participate in the 2nd International Youth Football Tournament – Valtenesi del Garda,” scheduled from June 9th to 11th. The event is organized in collaboration with the Municipalities of Valtenesi, local sports groups, and the Felter Sport Group.

Participants and Categories

At the tournament, the only event of its kind organized in 2000 in Lombardy, under the patronage of the Dutch, IFIFA-affiliated Eurosporting, participating 44 teams, 30 of which come from across Europe with players aged between 10 and 19 years, divided into 5 categories: Pulcini (U10), Esordienti (U12), Giovanissimi (U14), Allievi (U16), Juniores (U19).

Significance and Engagement of the Event

This is an important event that has already demonstrated its value from the previous edition, especially highlighting the dedication of players, chaperones, and organizers committed to its success.

Several local tourism operators from Valtenesi have also contributed significantly by providing their spaces to host all participants efficiently.

Locations and Logistics

Four locations are directly involved: Polpenazze, which hosts two fields and serves as the main point for the entire event, including all finals; along with the sports centers of Manerba, Moniga, and Padenghe.

Opening Ceremony and Schedule

The opening ceremony, scheduled for Friday evening (June 9th) at 9:00 PM, will feature a parade of the participating teams followed by the official start of the matches.

Saturday and Sunday will be dedicated entirely to competition, with over 100 matches scheduled to start at 9:00 AM, with games every 45 minutes until 6:00 PM.

On Sunday, the 3rd/4th place match will begin at 2:30 PM, followed by the final for 1st and 2nd place at 5:50 PM.

As is tradition, food and drink areas will be available, offering local traditional cuisine and, for the older attendees, wines from Valtenesi.
