Description of the church and artistic aspects
A series of particularly interesting events that will also allow visitors to admire one of the ancient and picturesque churches of Valtenesi.
An assembly hall-style building with a gabled external façade, typical of the Romanesque style of the Lake Garda area, and a notable rose window dating back to the 14th century.
The interior is rich with frescoes from the Veronese school of the same century, while the walls of the side aisles and the pillars depict ex-votos from the second half of the 15th century.
Particularly interesting, for their artistic value, are the wooden organ and the fresco depicting the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin from 1603, which experts attribute to Pietro Ricchi, known as the Lucchese.
