Roberto Puliero Presents “I Rusteghi” at Forte Ardietti Heritage Site
Roberto Puliero will stage, this evening, «I Rusteghi» inside the Austrian walls of Forte Ardietti. Requested by the Compagnia del Morbo in collaboration with the Municipal Administration, this is the first theatrical performance set against the backdrop of a stunning jewel of Archilicean architectural heritage.
Forte Ardietti was indeed built on land that is partly within the Municipality of Peschiera and partly within that of Ponti sul Mincio. These two administrations are the only ones to have, for some time, reached an agreement, both declaring their willingness to collaborate for the acquisition of the property.
Management issues and transfers
This is where problems arise: Peschiera and Ponti mean not just two municipalities but also two provinces, Verona and Mantova, and consequently, two regions, Veneto and Lombardy. The situation results in doubling the offices to contact, namely the two state properties departments currently responsible for the property after its disposal by the Ministry of Defense, pending its final transfer to the Ministry of Public Works.
Management and preservation of the Forte
The willingness and expertise demonstrated by the members of the Fortress History Documentation Center have led to their being entrusted with managing the Forte, lovingly cared for by numerous volunteers who handle its cleaning and maintenance.
Today, a small historical museum is housed here, serving as a venue for guided tours organized by the same Documentation Center: a situation reflecting the clear intent of both the Administration in Peschiera and Ponti sul Mincio to use the structure for cultural initiatives.
Presentation of the theatrical project
Among these, theatre can find a place, as demonstrated this evening by the boys from the «Morbo», who conceived the idea and organization of «I Rusteghi», brought to the stage by the Roberto Puliero company.
