Torbole Summer Festivals 2023: Events, Concerts, and Fireworks
This summer promises to be a busy tourist season with a rich calendar of events, combining traditional celebrations with some notable novelties, as organized by the Municipality. Some events have already taken place, but the peak is still to come, concentrated in July and August. In fact, to start with, the fireworks display will be moved forward from the end of summer to Saturday, July 22.
Main Summer Festivals and Events
“The question was posed by the tourism operators themselves,” says Tourism Councillor Martinelli, “and we have responded to their requests.” This includes those who asked for quieter music on the Pavese park stage, to benefit the entire surrounding area that had protested in vain for years. As a result, the nightclub evenings and rock concerts have been eliminated.
For the rest, a total of 35 events are planned this year. Most of them will be in Torbole, but a considerable number will also take place in Nago’s town center. There will be something for almost everyone’s taste. Where the Municipality does not organize entertainment, the Committee for Events will step in significantly, ensuring visitors and residents are entertained, with a program still to be finalized in detail (including a multi-evening country festival, exhibitions at Picalof, and beach volleyball and water polo tournaments).
Summer and Concert Events
Aside from the fireworks night, the most anticipated event in the town center will be “Torbole jazz.” This year’s edition will feature the novelty of a regional scope, with four evenings starting from Saturday, July 8, and two additional nights held in Arco and Riva.
It doesn’t end there, as concerts will be recorded by the artists upon the Torbole port after each evening. The jazz music will be soft, serving as background music due to the late hour, targeting the evening customers of the town’s cafes.
Other Shows and Events
Popular events will also include Cantalago (August 3), performances by bands, choirs, and folkoric groups from both national and international origins, as well as the Crazi Parigi Group (August 18), composed of seven dancers and one male dancer. Open-air theater events, especially in Nago, will also feature, with appointments scheduled quite close together over the upcoming peak months.
