Italy’s first ‘Gold Age’ event in Riva promotes elderly social, cultural, and trade initiatives
The first edition of «Gold Age», the inaugural event in Italy dedicated to the elderly population, will be hosted in Riva from October 5th to 11th. The event is promoted by Palacongressi srl, Fenacom-50 & Più, the tourism department of the Province of Trento, and Apt del Garda Trentino.
Event Details and Related Initiatives
The significant gathering will feature three key components: a conference focused on social and cultural issues affecting the elderly, the organization of the «50 & Più Contest, prose, poetry, painting, and photography», and finally, an exhibition and trade fair segment involving local authorities, institutions, companies, and industrial groups presenting their services and products.
Meanwhile, work continues at Palacongressi to enhance their facilities’ appeal within the European congress and trade fair markets.
International Visits and Collaborations
In this context, Walter Goring, the General Manager of the Stuttgart Fair, met with Palacongressi officials and visited the Riva facilities. The purpose of his visit was related to Riva’s interest in promoting a trade fair focused on equipment for specific sectors of tourism, such as camping and sailing.
These sectors are among the most important for Stuttgart Fair on the European scene. Soon, a Riva delegation will travel to Stuttgart for a new meeting.
Future Projects and Conferences
Furthermore, the organization of the annual national conference for Liturgical Operators is in advanced stages. Promoted by the Italian Episcopal Conference, this event will take place in August 2001, also thanks to the availability of Archbishop Luigi Bressan of Trento.
