Lacisiense City Moves to Regulate and Improve Urban Advertising Signs
Stop to illegal signage, the jungle of billboards and advertising signs that are abusive or only partially authorized. Increasingly often, we come across picturesque glimpses or monumental corners ruined and uglified by an often inappropriate placement of signs or advertising banners of various kinds.
Also in the Lacisiense area, there has been a significant increase in recent years in signage, both indicative and promotional, that clashes with the overall decor of the tourist environment.
To remedy this chaos, the City Council approved the guidelines for a revolutionary operation. An initiative aimed at enabling the Municipal Administration to control and manage advertising structures and directional signs present in the territory, coordinating their organized installation and creating urban furniture elements in inhabited centers and their surroundings.
The operation also intends to ensure a number of «advertising» spaces to inform citizens about administrative provisions, entertainment, associative activities, etc., replacing the currently aesthetically unpleasing pieces.
A clear reversal of the trend compared to the past, with the primary objective not only to inventory what exists but also to evaluate the opportunity for direct management of the public posting service.
In accordance with the resolution adopted by the Council, a tender has been announced for the supply, management, and maintenance of urban furniture structures exploitable for advertising purposes, and of advertising directional signage to be installed within the municipal territory.
The companies invited to participate in the tender must present a project for the offered structures, including a site plan and placement modalities, as well as a general reorganization plan for municipal advertising infrastructure, consisting of an inventory of the existing signage within the municipal territory and its adjustment—after removal—to the requirements of current legislation.
