Bardolino Tennis Tournament Draws Over 1,000 Spectators and Top Players

A noteworthy success was recorded by the third edition of the “Body Spring” trophy, the second-category national tennis tournament promoted by the club of Bardolino Racket with the sponsorship of the Province of Verona, the Municipality, and the Bardolino Hotel Owners Association.

It was a sporting success but also an image one, considering that more than a thousand enthusiasts followed, supported, and cheered on the performances of about a hundred athletes, among the best national players in their category.

Results and impressions

“A crowd of grand proportions,” states Carlo Pezzoli, “which lent the event the appropriate importance, among other things made easier by excellent weather conditions.”

The technical level of some competitors was also remarkable, which was a source of great satisfaction for those of us from the club and others not involved in promoting the tournament.

Youths and awards

Particularly Gabriele Zorzi, the tireless supporter of the Bardolino Tennis Club, appears satisfied with how things went and is already looking ahead to future commitments focused on young players.

Besides the winners of the tournament (Massimiliano Bianchi from Florence and Daniela Roman from Trento n.d.r.), Zorzi is proud of the “San Vigilio” award given to Russian Anna Alexeva, recognized as the best young talent. (a.j.)
