Uncontrolled Oleanders Block Sidewalks on Viale Rovereto; Maintenance Needed

There is a no-pass zone here: people must walk in single file. This seems to be the message conveyed by the now imposing oleanders that have grown excessively and uncontrollably along the sidewalk bordering Viale Rovereto, near the Villa Aranci pizzeria.

Pedestrians, when passing through this area, are indeed forced to proceed in a line to avoid getting submerged in the pile of leaves, flowers, and branches that these plants—some of which are toxic—have created. If they encounter other passersby (which happens quite frequently on this always crowded sidewalk), they must agree on who should go first. However, since this is rather unlikely, most people prefer to sidestep the obstacle by walking a few meters along the road, even though this solution is not the safest or most advisable.

Reports and inspections regarding the problem

This issue, reported to us by some annoyed Rivani citizens who are tired of constantly avoiding the plants, was verified by us yesterday morning: indeed, the problem exists, but if the plants were properly maintained and trimmed, it would already be resolved.
