Garda Coast Guard Patrol Boat Ceases Service After Three Months
“Charlie Papa 883”, the Coast Guard patrol boat, ceases its service on Lake Garda from Monday after three months. The gratitude and praise from the residents of Benacus were expressed by the president of the Garda community, Adelio Zanetti, during a dinner attended also by Vice President Vincenzo Ceschini. Being an “all-weather” vessel equipped with sophisticated rescue and search equipment, suitable for navigating in any conditions, the patrol boat was called to operate often in extreme conditions when other boats could not face the lake, showcasing the exceptional nautical performance and the skill and professionalism of the crew, ready to operate 24 hours a day, among other things.
For all these reasons, there is hope that the general command of the river port authorities will not only ensure the presence of the patrol boat during the upcoming summer season but will also consider the possibility of leaving the vessel to protect the residents of Garda throughout the year. The patrol boat on Garda” was present over the last two years for a trial period of three months (July, August, and September): the promptness and quality of the interventions led Zanetti to request a definitive confirmation.
