Municipal Sports Funding Increases 2000: Youth, Championships, Clubs

In the year 2000, contributions to sports clubs increased by 30%, reaching a total of 25 million lire. This was announced by the municipal sports councilor, Angelo Tagliani, clarifying that this allowed for additional support to various associations.

Distribution of funding

The funding allocation system was as follows: 55%, amounting to 14 million lire, for youth activities; 35% (9 million lire) for participation in championships; and 5% (just over 1 million lire) for clubs with their own premises, with an equivalent amount for rounding off.

Specifically, these are the contributions allocated to the clubs: 3,200,000 lire to As Pallavolo, 3 million to Tamburello, 2,200,000 to Amatori Bocce, 2,200,000 to Basket 90, 3,700,000 to Basket Castiglione, 800,000 to Cai, 2,200,000 to Tiro a segno, 1,500,000 to Savoia Calcio, 500,000 to Gs Bike 96, 1,500,000 to Podisti, 700,000 to Camas Karatè, 1,000,000 to Sci Club, 950,000 to Club Bresman (darts), and 1,500,000 to Ac Gozzolina.

In total, 24,950,000 lire were allocated, in addition to funding for individual events: benefiting from this were Cicli Rodella Scott (500,000 lire), Lenza Termovapor (1,500,000), and Centro sportivo biliardo Scacco Matto (500,000).

Initiatives and youth activities

Furthermore, the sports department and the Consultation are placing great emphasis on the youth sector through various initiatives.

Within this framework, a month dedicated to twinship between schools and sports is planned, with events such as “Natale 2000 – Vivi con noi lo sport,” a program for the youth.
