Animalandia & Dinosaurs Show Features Rare Live and Replica Animals

Real and Fake Animals. Unusual yet existing, extinct yet once alive. In flesh and bones or faithful reproductions, lively or remote-controlled. “Animalandia & Dinosaurs”: the exhibition of animals “the most original in Italy, unique in Europe” at the Montichiari Fair Center. It starts this morning and will end tomorrow evening. Two days of a weekend with continuous hours, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The species on display

This is not a monster exhibit. In fact, the event offers the chance to see extraordinary and spectacular animals live, starting with the so-called “bonsai”: these are true miniature animals, such as the “adult” sheep from Ouesson Island in France, just 50 centimeters tall.

Visitors can enjoy viewing tiny sheep, but also scaled parrots and horses, as well as reptiles, crocodiles, turtles, monitor lizards, spiders, scorpions, the very rare white cobra, the anaconda (the world’s largest snake), iguanas, rattlesnakes with their characteristic rattle, venomous mambas, large pythons, and boas.

Exotic and amusing animals like emus, nandús (the American ostrich), llamas and dromedaries, African ostriches, crowned cranes, and brightly colored macaws such as the ararauna, along with Chinese magpies, will also be on display. Many visitors’ main attraction will be the voracious tropical piranha fish, freely swimming in a huge tank of 20,000 liters of water.

New features and entertainment

Animalandia’s exclusive new feature in Montichiari are the dinosaurs. The Fair Center becomes Jurassic Park for two days. Full-scale reproductions of the carnivorous theropod, allosaurus, and the famous velociraptor can be seen.

The highlight will be the “animated” dinosaur, a sophisticated, beautiful remote-controlled toy with which children can interact through a special remote control.

The exhibition will take place in a comfortable and spacious environment, covering an area of over 3,500 square meters inside the heated pavilions of the Fair Center.

Entrance to Animalandia is free for children and young people up to 12 years old accompanied by parents.
