Montichiari Fair Center Hosts Cycling Event with Clubs, Awards, and Exhibits

The Montichiari Fair Center will be filled with cyclists tomorrow and Sunday: not for the traditional race, but for the third edition of “Two Wheels at the Fair.” Once again, a number of stands representing cycling will be set up in the heated halls of the Garda Fair Center.

Cycling fairs and exhibitions

More than forty teams and clubs will gather in a dedicated area within the exhibition district for “Expociclo,” which will open at 9 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. During the busy schedule of the event, which will also feature the presence of Sports Councillors Alessandro Sala (Province) and Gianmaria Pastorelli (Municipality), clubs will present results and reports from 2000, along with their projects and competitive strategies for the upcoming season.

“The two days will take place in a festive atmosphere, marked by music and social moments,” say the organizers and the secretariat of the Centro Fiera. “Former Brescia cycling stars will participate, emerging athletes will be introduced and promoted, as well as sponsors who will find a true showcase in Montichiari.”

Awards and related events

The reaffirmed president — for the fifth time — of Federciclo Brescia, Renzo Pozzani, will present awards, as is tradition, to individuals who have supported and been close to the cycling world. Clubs leading in Coppa Brescia will also be recognized, representing a true provincial championship over five races on roads, along with the provincial track championships held each year in Mantova, awaiting the Montichiari velodrome.

Already committed to the event are companies and clubs that have long been involved in cycling. In Montichiari, specialized companies in sportswear, bicycles, and related products will showcase their latest innovations. At the stands of sports clubs, photographs and bikes—both modern and vintage—will be prominently displayed. The season’s licensed riders, who will begin racing on the last Saturday of February with the Coppa San Geo, will not be missing.
