Montichiari Boat Show Rebrands as European Event with New Exhibits

Now in its third edition, the Montichiari Boat Show aims to grow both in numbers and significance, with the name “European Boat Show” and the goal of establishing itself among the top events alongside Genova, Paris, and Düsseldorf. Organized by Optimist of Luciano Coin and Staff Service of Carlo Miotto, the event will take place at the Centro del Garda, close to the lakes as well as the city, and along the Brenner route, from February 10 to 18.

Exhibition and Participants

Each sector is represented across 35,000 square meters, including boats, accessories, furnishings, fishing, and the diving world; the Coast Guard, the Italian Motorboat Federation, and the Naval Military will also have their large stand. The boat sector features hundreds of models up to 18 meters, with a 35% increase in the exhibition area and the debut of brands such as Pershing and Ferretti.

Previews and New Features

The latter will debut nationally Aquariva, the luxurious motorboat from the century-old Riva shipyards. The sailing segment will see a 75% increase compared to last year, adding the names of Jeanneau among others. A large pool of 500 square meters will host competitions and canoeing courses, with 60 exhibitors for “Pescare 2001“.

Services and Side Events

There are three nautical leasing services related to the event. Prominent testimonials include the madrina Anna Falchi. Olympic swimmers Rosolino and Fioravanti will attend, along with Luca Genoni, the world champion diver. Young visitors will enjoy virtual games, and every evening features a show; scheduled acts range from Denny Mendez and Nadia Bengala to guitarist Aco Bocina, the Brazilian group Ipanema, and Alessia Mancini.

Media Coverage and Organizational Aspects

Rai will be present in Montichiari for two days, broadcasting recordings on February 17, and will feature the event in the program “Linea Blu” airing from March. A minor, yet recurring, obstacle for Luciano Coin is the territory’s coldness: the difficulty in convincing sponsors and the involved industry of the importance of supporting the event.

Opening Hours

The show’s hours are from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
