Gardesana Road Closure Extended to March 2 for Safety Repairs
Still a few weeks of difficulty for users of the Gardesana. The opening of the road at Forbisicle, a few dozen meters before the long tunnel behind Campione, will be postponed until March 2.
The work was scheduled to be completed by February 11, but a Decree from ANAS granted additional time to the company for safety measures.
Meanwhile, in recent days, moments of concern were experienced due to the fall of several boulders precisely at this point.
Fortunately, at that time, no one was working there, nor were there any vehicles passing through: no injuries or damage to people and vehicles.
Closure hours and reopening
Following this new extension, the closure hours for the state road at Forbisicle will remain unchanged, with vehicle restrictions from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Open passage on holidays and Saturdays.
It is likely that the completion of the work will coincide with the opening of the road at Nanzel, south of Limone.
In that area, after a complete blockade last week, the previous hours have been reinstated, which officially allow passage from 7:15 AM to 8:15 AM, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as well as on Saturday (from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM) and Sunday (from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM).
However, in general, passage is also granted at different times.
