Malcesine Ski Resort Hosts Second Annual Snow Carnival and Costume Race

Next Monday, the children’s slope at the Malcesine ski resort will host the second edition of the snow carnival. A parallel race will be held in the evening, featuring two heats with a track inversion.

The fundamental rule is that participants, strictly in costume, can compete using any means: skis, snowboards, and no one is to overlook sleds, bobsleds, air mattresses, kayaks, inner tubes, or even mountain bikes.

Organization and Participants

The event is organized by T&C Versini from Trento, in collaboration with the La Capannina restaurant in Malcesine, the head of the ski lifts Mauro Zuccali, the Malcesine ski school, Pietro Monaci, and Atf Malcesine Monte Baldo.

Teams from the local pub Murphys Irish Stout Pub in Mori, Trento province, and Rock Café Martin Klaus, an arcade in Malcesine, will take to the slopes. Over a hundred participants are expected.

Program and Services During the Event

During the race, there will be music, along with beer, mulled wine, grappa, tea, and hot chocolate. An fireworks display is planned as an interlude. A dinner and award ceremony will be held at La Capannina, starting from 10 p.m.

Participants will ascend via cable car from San Michele between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. At 8:15 p.m., bibs will be distributed, and the race will start at 8:30 p.m. The return downhill is scheduled for midnight and thirty minutes.
