Carnival Food Festivities Across Towns Featuring Gnocchi and Free Delights

Carnival and free food are two sides of this celebration, enjoyed by those who love to eat as much as to joke and parade in masks. During these days, food and beverages are distributed free of charge at every corner and in all the squares of our towns. And for a little while, the problem of the meal can also be considered solved, as people dine punctually “on the house”.

For this reason, at 7 pm, the pensioners’ circle Il Quartiere in Riva organizes the “Gnocchi Festival” at the Piazza Mimosa headquarters. But it’s tomorrow when the real festivities can begin. In addition to the traditional Arcense gnocchi feast in Piazza 3 Novembre (followed by a tour through the various hamlets of the municipality), there will also be the “Gnocchi de Varignam”.

At 12 pm, at the intersection near the Belvedere Trattoria, will be the distribution of tomato gnocchi, the same dish that can also be enjoyed at Circolo Romarzollo and in Piazza Dro. Also tomato-based, but with macaroni, the organizational committee of Bolognano will serve this dish to the local community.

On Sunday, while the parade with various allegorical floats and masked groups takes place, you can enjoy food both in Tiarno di Sopra (with macaroni with ragù, grostoi, and mulled wine) and in Dro (with bread, wurstel, and beer), thanks to the Carnival Committee.

Next Tuesday, finally, the Circolo Romarzollo will offer macaroni with tomato sauce to everyone starting at 4 pm if anyone is still hungry.
