Nago Torbole Council Questions Urban Renovation Funds and Procedures

Following the controversy over Hotel Europa, the council group Comunità Nago Torbole shifts its focus to issues closer to the concerns of ordinary people. For example, the funds that the municipal administration has allocated and continues to allocate as contributions for the renovation of house facades in the historic center. During the meeting on December 20th, councilor Mario Mazzoldi requested clarification regarding the reduction of the available budget, which decreased from 50 to 10 million euros. Was this decision a consequence of decreased requests? It would seem not, as, during the discussion, some suggested that the applications submitted by certain citizens have remained unanswered.

Questions and requests to the mayor

The Comunità Nago Torbole group submitted a question on this topic. They asked Mayor Giuseppe Parolari whether it might be appropriate to respond in writing to those citizens whose applications have remain unfulfilled and whether it would be fair to ask if they still intend to benefit from the mentioned contributions.

Finally, since we’re on the topic, the Comunità Nago Torbole councilors would like to be informed of the criteria used to manage the funds during the 1999-2000 fiscal years, which citizens were awarded them, and how the bureaucratic process for accessing the funds works. The issue of Torbole’s urban decorum thus becomes a “hot” topic again.
