Castiglione Del Stiviere Launches New European-Funded Technical Courses

The university arrives at Castiglione delle Stiviere, with participation in the implementation of the Advanced Technical Education and Training Courses. This initiative is led by the Università Cattolica di Piacenza e Cremona, in collaboration with Castiglione’s high schools, vocational institutes, local companies, and the Comune di Castiglione.

The education counselor Giuseppe Bertoli officially announced that the Region and the bodies responsible for awarding European funds have approved the Logistics and Intermodality course and the Corporate Financial Administrative Techniques course.

Details on the courses and funding

“The Comune di Castiglione – said Bertoli – as part of professional training, has been awarded two post-diploma training courses, which will likely be very attractive to high school graduates and those already involved in the workforce.”

“This is a significant contribution to education and training, both in terms of resources – said Bertoli – nearing one billion euros, at no cost to the municipality. The courses will be conducted in partnership with the Università Cattolica di Piacenza e Cremona, the High Schools of Castiglione (Gonzaga, Vasari, and Casa del Giovane), and local companies, which will provide both internship opportunities and employ their staff as instructors.”

He expressed special thanks to everyone involved in delivering these courses, especially the principals of the high schools of Castiglione, who are showing great attention to these initiatives.

Course characteristics and next steps

The courses, consisting of 1200 hours, with at least 30% spent on company internships and 50% with instructors directly provided by the companies, will span two semesters.

In the coming days, the Comune will work to promote the courses effectively to ensure all approximately 40 available places are filled.
