Veneto Region Fund Supports Expansion of Bike Path Network in Garda

The construction of two additional sections of the bike path, which will extend the initial route, is nearing completion this month. The original pathway, already operational, is approximately five kilometers long and runs from Alpi di Pastrengo to Villa, at the border with Bardolino.

Connections and ongoing projects

Thanks to a contribution provided by the Regione Veneto to the Comune di Cavaion, a segment will be created connecting Villa to Cavaion for Gabrioi and a second route towards Bardolino. Additionally, to the east, the Alpi locality will be linked with Faino and the Sega hamlet, creating a connection with the route designed by the «Pista del Sole».

“Another link between the lake and the inland area that our administration has developed in recent years, serving as an important outlet for tourism in Garda,” states Mayor Giancarlo Sabaini. “It’s a shame that the «Pista del Sole» has not yet been built by the Province, except on paper, unlike what has been implemented in Trentino, because this way the connection would be complete and effective.”

Mayor Sabaini, who is particularly invested in the project, jokes: “Who knows, in the end it might be up to us to build it.” (m.d.)
