Garda Community’s 2001 Assembly Focuses on Statutory Reforms and Future Plans

On March 10, 2001 at 10 a.m., in the Council Chamber of the Bardolino Municipality, the XL General Assembly of the Garda Community will be held. The agenda includes the President’s report, summarizing the first three months of the new board’s work and outlining its future prospects.

Directive and Statutory Updates

President Giuseppe Mongiello emphasizes, as a primary goal, the rethinking of the organization’s statutory framework, not only for natural updating but also to thoroughly and comprehensively review the legal nature of the community organization, with the aim of transforming it into a management entity.

Acknowledgments and Consultations

Recently, a resolution was approved by the Lombard Regional Council recognizing the Garda Community as “the most representative body of the lake’s municipalities” and as such called to participate in consultations regarding lake estate management and navigation regulations.

Assembly and Decisions

Guiding members of the Community towards revitalizing and giving new life to the Association, as well as providing a renewed mission, the assembly will approve the annual financial report and the amendments to the 2001 budget forecast.

The new indemnity for the President will also be established, which has remained unchanged for about nine years.

Institutional Issues

Within the framework of institutional issues, aside from the previously mentioned revision of the community statute, there will be a discussion on the Interregional Authority for the Garda.

The insights gained from the Bardolino meeting should serve as a guiding path to refer to in the coming years.
