Castiglione Councilors Visit Int.Dep.Cast Facilities for Transparency Review

The municipal councilors of the town of Castiglione delle Stiviere, the assessors, and Mayor Sigurtà visited the facilities of Int.Dep.Cast. on Wednesday evening. This municipal company of Castiglione has been at the center of heated controversy lately, which has also been covered by the press.

Details of the meeting and objectives

The meeting was scheduled during the conference of group leaders, during which the majority of Castiglione’s politicians deemed it appropriate for all councilors to become aware of what is happening in the company’s facilities.

They wanted everything to be transparent and for the issues that have been causing debate recently to be clarified.

The meeting took place in a very cordial manner, in a climate that seemed markedly different from what had been heard in recent times.

The visit and explanations of the facilities

The visit was guided by Mayor Arturo Sigurtà and the president of the municipal company Nunzio Belluzzi, who explained to the councilors and assessors the details of the purification plants as well as the compost production and storage facilities.

Everyone listened attentively to the explanations and took the opportunity to ask for clarification on different aspects of the operations carried out by the people of Castiglione.

In fact, technicians from the same company were also present at the meeting, repeatedly engaging with the questions posed by the visitors.

Conclusions and future decisions

At the end, the councilors and the executive board agreed, after some hesitation, to hold the municipal council meeting requested by the Lega Nord during the last week of April, on either April 26 or 27.
