Grole Square and Park Opening in Castiglione Collinosa

Tomorrow morning around 11 am, the inauguration of the new square and green park in Grole will take place. This is the much-anticipated frazione square, a project strongly supported by the residents and now almost unanimously appreciated by those living in this area of Castiglione Collinosa surrounded by greenery.

It involved an investment of over 700 million lire to create a spacious landscaped playground equipped with benches, walking paths, a fountain, numerous trees, and an ecological oasis. There is also a parking lot above the grassy area, and the church’s sagrato features an elegant marble balustrade.

The original road layout, which ran along the facade of the parish church, has been slightly relocated, and beyond the roadway, an additional green space has been created.

Comments and Initiatives

“The result is better than we expected,” commented Raffaella Bolzoni of the Grole Group upon completing the work, thanking Sigurtà and everyone involved in the project’s realization.

On the occasion of the square’s inauguration, Gru Grole will set up stalls selling items whose proceeds will be donated to charity.

The ribbon-cutting, attended by the mayor, local administrators from Castiglione, and the parish priest of the frazione, will be followed by a toast to celebrate the completion of the work.
