Int.Dep.Cast Open Day and School Visits Focus on Waste Management

Following the city council meeting, President Belluzzi now aims to introduce the society he oversees, namely Int.Dep.Cast. An entire open day at the facilities on Via Gerra is scheduled for May 5th.

Int.Dep.Cast Open Day

“The council session provided us with an opportunity to showcase to political forces and the attending public how we operate,” explains Belluzzi. “With the open day, people will be able to physically verify the company’s activities.”

Residents of Castiglione will then be able to move between the wastewater treatment plant and the waste collection and processing facilities to better understand what enters and exits through the gates.

“This is an important event,” comments the president. “We want to demonstrate that everything at Int.Dep.Cast. happens in the light of day, with no secrets, and every citizen can verify this.”

The main goal pursued by the company is environmental protection, in accordance with national and European legislative guidelines.

School Visits and Raising Awareness

In the effort to raise awareness among young people regarding waste issues, the ecological company plans visits to middle and high schools in Castiglione on May 17, 18, and 21. During these visits, students will tour the facilities on Via Gerra to understand their purpose and delve into waste disposal issues.

“Students are our starting point,” Belluzzi has repeatedly stated. “They are the citizens of tomorrow and should be taught about responsible waste production and the resourcefulness that waste can represent.”

Waste Separation Projects

Regarding waste separation, note the trial of domestic organic waste collection in the I Maggio neighborhood.
