The 20th edition of the Valeggio Futura Literary Contest has opened for submissions, organized by the Municipality of Valeggio sul Mincio, the local library, and the Pro Loco association, with Verona Province’s patronage. The competition is open to participants across four categories: children (elementary schools), teenagers (middle schools), young adults (high schools), and adults (over 20), with entries accepted in three themes: free topic, “Tutto scorre,” and Veronese dialect poetry. The deadline is March 14, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., with submissions accepted electronically, by mail, or in person at the municipal library.
Participants can submit up to three unpublished poems, with a maximum of 40 lines each; children and teenagers can submit group works. Prizes vary by category, including certificates, books, and monetary awards of €150, €100, and €50 for the top three in the youth and adult sections, as well as in the Veronese dialect and special theme categories. Winners in the children and teenagers’ categories receive certificates and books.
