Healthcare Conference on Operating Room Management and Cost Control
In third millennium healthcare, operating rooms represent a parameter of the facility’s efficiency, but also a delicate point in resource management. Starting from this premise, doctors, administrators, and nurses of various backgrounds and training will come together to try to outline uniform and reproducible lines of conduct.
The occasion will be a conference scheduled this afternoon in the main hall of Desenzano, organized by Dr. Francesco Puccio, head of the second Surgery Division at the Manerbio hospital.
Content and objectives of the conference
“Cost containment in healthcare is one of the key objectives set by the Lombardy Region — explains Puccio —. This goal must be achieved without compromising the quality of service, but by addressing waste, control, and resource organization.”
“The operating room is certainly one of the most challenging cost centers to manage due to the multiplicity of personnel involved, but also because of the complexity of the resources used daily. Today’s conference aims to be a moment for constructive discussion.” The conference, titled “Management Control in the Operating Room“, will open at 2 pm with Angelo Foschini, General Director of the Desenzano Hospital Trust.
Francesco Puccio, acting as moderator, will introduce the topics of the round table, which will continue with a series of interventions by doctors, surgeons, healthcare managers, and experts from across Italy.
Organization and target audience
A qualified overview of the needs and solutions related to the organization of operating theaters. The second part of the conference will be coordinated by Alfonso Castellani, Medical Director of the Garda Area Healthcare Trust.
The initiative is aimed at doctors and nurses.
