Repubblica Day Events at Palazzo dei Congressi Highlighting Italy’s Democracy

The Palazzo dei Congressi hosts this evening, starting from 8:30 PM, the events organized for the Festa della Repubblica.

After a brief greeting from Mayor Cesare Malossini, the Sala dei 1000 will resonate with the notes of some pieces performed by the Corpo Bandistico Riva del Garda. At 9 PM, these will be followed by the final concert of the ‘Riccardo Zandonai’ Lyric Competition.

Malossini encourages all citizens to participate in the celebration, because every time the date of June 2, 1946, is remembered—when the institutional referendum promoted by Alcide De Gasperi took place and the first universal suffrage consultation—it renews the memory of the day Italy’s democracy was born.
