Liturgical Week in Trento Addresses Laity and Ministeriality
The Archbishop of Trento, Luigi Bressan, and Monsignor Luca Brandolini, president of the Centro di azione liturgica, will open the 52nd National Liturgical Week at the Palacongressi from August 27 to 31, on a highly relevant theme in the Catholic world: “Laity in the liturgy: what ministeriality?”. Four days of presentations and discussions, with contributions from Monsignor Brandolini, Monsignor Luciano Monari, Don Silvano Birboni, Don Andrea Fontana, and Don Gianni Colombo. The Wednesday, August 29, session will be entirely dedicated to visiting the historical-religious sites of Trento. The following day will feature “testimonies and provocations,” while the conclusion will be entrusted, on August 31, to Monsignor Gianfranco Ravasi, Prefect of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan, speaking on “Images and styles in ministeriality.” Among the reflection moments are the eucharistic concelebration on Tuesday, August 28 (Church of San Giuseppe in Riva del Garda, at 6 PM) presided over by Monsignor Piero Marini, Master of Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations, and the Word Celebration “I am among you as one who serves,” presided over by Cardinal Silvano Piovanelli, retired Archbishop of Florence, on Thursday in the same church (6:30 PM).
