Toscolano Maderno Summer Festivals and Events Calendar

The summer in Toscolano Maderno reaches its peak with the festival of Saint Peter and Paul, held in Piazza Bernini and within the park. Thursday, June 28, at 8:30 PM, features tasting of local products and music dedicated to The Beatles. On Friday, opening at 9 AM, city authorities’ speeches at 11 AM and a concert by the town band, a fashion parade with baby clothing at 8 PM, the band performance at 9 PM, followed by a ballroom dance. Saturday includes an 8 AM fishing competition on the river, Bariletti Trophy, stand opening at 9 AM, a cross-country race at 6 PM, and a Latin American evening at 8:30 PM. Sunday, July 1, opens stands at 9 AM, street performers perform in via Trento at 6 PM, a costume parade with the Salò majorettes and a concert at 8 PM, and the market fair closes with ballroom dancing at 10:30 PM. The same day hosts the popular festival at Luseti. The old building in the Valle delle Cartiere, renovated, has become an oasis of hospitality for lovers of greenery and nature. The Gaino Festival is split into two phases: from Thursday, July 5 to Sunday, July 8, and from Friday, July 13 to Sunday, July 15. Every evening features food stalls and dancing with an orchestra. Noteworthy are the performances of the Montegargnano Archers (Saturday, July 7, at 2 PM), the Angels of San Michele, paragliding acrobats (Sunday, July 8), the riders of the Castello stable (Saturday, July 14, at 3:30 PM), and the Little Swallows group dancers (Sunday, July 15, at 3 PM). On July 6, Piazza S. Marco hosts the Chorus Band. Throughout July, highlights include the basketball player shows (from July 7 to 15), Maclino Festival (Sunday, July 22), Rockerellando, a rock band series at the Skate Rink from Wednesday, July 25 to Sunday, July 29, the organic market organized by La buona terra (July 28-29), and Cecina’s Art Week starting July 29, with about twenty exhibitions, conferences, concerts, and more. August begins with the Latin American Festival from Thursday, August 2, to Sunday, August 5. On Tuesday, August 7, a stage of the Cantalago. On August 9, Romano Mussolini’s orchestra.
